The Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD) is a non-profit, grassroots organizations that operates as groups from all around the United States to work towards the common goal of promoting diversity and inclusion within the field of occupational therapy and to increase the ability of occupational therapy practitioners to serve an increasingly diverse population. The University of Pittsburgh’s COTAD chapter was established in 2020. This chapter aims to be a place where students can engage in impactful discussions, learn about different cultures and backgrounds and acquire the skills needed to make actionable change for a more equitable profession and inclusive society.
