The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) has constructed and published a framework for diversity where they outline the school’s mission, vision and scope on representing the diverse populations within our community and creating an inclusive environment. UPSOM has noted that there are a multitude of areas of focus that they will be building on their capacity to “develop, implement and assess our diversity and inclusion policies, initiatives and activities.” This framework is made accessible for all students through the UPSOM Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’s website.
