The Just Discipline Project (JDP) supports teachers, students, and staff in efforts to enhance relational approaches that will in turn reduce the need for exclusionary discipline in schools. The “school-to prison pipeline” is believed to be a big problem for children all across America, and this starts with behavior in school settings. It is a research-to-practice initiative designed to advance achievement for all students by implementing and evaluating school-bases relational climate and restorative practice programs. This program is free to all schools it is offered to in the Pittsburgh area, which include but are not limited to Manchester Academic Charter School, Aliquippa Elementary School, and Penn Hills Elementary School.
