The “Exploring Cultural Identities through Intergroup Dialogue” (IGD) course, is a class which brings together students with diverse cultural identities, in an experiential environment, with the goal of engaging in open and constructive dialogue regarding issues of conflict and community. Students will learn from one another’s lived experiences and examine how race, gender, gender identity and expression, socio-economic class, sexual orientation, ability, language, military experience, marital status, and first-generation status relate to power, privilege and oppression; using productive approaches to engage in on-going discourse.
