DASIE, Data Analytics for Science Immersion Experience, aims to address the widespread need for scientists proficient in advanced data skills and the national imperative to increase diversity in emerging scientists. The program brings together students from outside Carnegie Mellon University to create a pipeline of future science leaders with advanced data skills. Participants will undergo a week of on-campus training at CMU in Data Analytics before gaining hands-on experiences at the Global Dow Center in Midland, MI. This initiative emphasizes connecting participants with industry experts from Dow and Accenture through on-the-job shadowing and training, alongside mentoring from CMU faculty and staff.
