The Black Environmental Collective is a cross-sectional network of Black leaders and trailblazers committed to environmental equity and social justice. They work towards bridging the gap between community experiences resource and information sharing, regional policy advocacy, mutual learning, and bringing people and ideas together that would not otherwise meet.

This program engages in community outreach and education, collaboration and partnership, movement and coalition building, and transforming ideas into activities and solutions. The goal is to expand just and equitable outcomes, strengthen the voices of Black people within the environmental justice movement, and create additional pathways to success for youth and burgeoning leaders within the sustainability sector.

Mission: To advance solutions that support Black communities’ ability to combat environmental threats to the quality of life, food, environment/place, and climate change.
