CMU houses the FIRST Together program which represents students that are the first of their family to go to college. The mission of this program is to enhance the overall success of first generation college students through intentional and proactive efforts. The FIRST Together program seeks to raise awareness and advocacy for the unique needs of these students, and it aims to create a supportive community by building a strong network of mentors and providing a space where students feel heard and valued.
