HealthyCHILD and Healthyinfants works to facilitate social-emotional supports for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, teachers, caregivers, and parents/guardians. A team of development healthcare consultants implement the models of the project through education, collaborative consultation and problem solving, and technical assistance as well. The goal of this project is to empower adults to create more supportive and inclusive environments, build responsive relationships, promote social emotional growth and mental wellness, and effectively respond to challenging behavior that often stems from unaddressed trauma, mental health challenges and discrimination. Both HealthyCHILD and HealthyInfant consultants are working in 220 early childhood education (ECE) locations in Allegheny County.
