The Latinx Cluster Hire Initiative was announced by former Provost and Vice Chancellor Ann E. Cudd with the intent to develop a diverse body of staff at the University of Pittsburgh by hiring Latinx faculty. With two waves in 2019 and in 2021, the University used this initiative to promote diversity and foster university programs concerning Latinx community members and Latinx issues.
