The Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit is a multicultural initiative of the Black and White Reunion (BWR). Founded in 1996, the BWR organized in response to the murder of Jonny Gammage and other Black and Brown people at the hands of the police. The BWR’s mission is to bring together organizations and individuals to dismantle the systems that uphold racism and to be in solidarity in the struggle for human equality.
