Founded in 1995 by Pitt student Michelle Fanzo and Pittsburgh native Adam Pollock, the Pittsburgh Urban Management Project (PUMP) is an organization dedicated to “making Pittsburgh the most dynamic and diverse place by engaging, educating, and mobilizing all young people to create change in our community.” This goal is primarily achieved through programming that includes advocacy, the Pittsburgh Sports League (PSL), community service, and leadership forums.
